Every VEXLARI piece starts the same way: a blank tee, a print file and one question. Is this worth keeping for years? If the answer is no, it doesn't get made.
VEXLARI is the streetwear label of a company founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2013. Drop 01 is the label's first release.

The idea.
Most graphic tees are made for the season they're sold in: thin cotton, a print stretched to fit, a run that never ends. VEXLARI goes the other way. A heavier tee that holds its shape. Artwork drawn at full size and placed to the millimetre. Runs small enough to count.

How it's made.
240 GSM combed cotton, bio-washed and pre-shrunk, so it drapes like a premium tee and keeps its shape wash after wash. An oversized block: dropped shoulder, boxy body, a 2.5 cm ribbed neck taped at the back, twin-needle hems. Prints placed in centimetres: every file is drawn at 1:1 and measured from the collar, so the tee you get matches the photo. Puff and two-ink screen prints, checked on a strike-off before each run.

How we release.
Drops, not seasons. Each design is printed in a small run. Drop 01 is seven tees and 420 pieces in total, opening as the First Run on 13 October. When a colour is gone, the site says so.

Seven designs about late hours and fast lines: a city after midnight under a gold moon, an invented race team, a moth drawn line by line, a word set in Devanagari, a logo you can feel.

How it's made
Made to the millimetre.
Every print file is drawn at 1:1 and placed in centimetres from the collar, so the tee you get matches the photo.
Heavy cotton that holds its shape.
100% combed cotton, bio-washed for a soft hand. Heavy enough to drape like a premium tee, light enough for a long summer.
A logo you can feel.
High-density puff ink rises off the fabric on the Puff Logo tee and the Racing Dept. race number.
Drawn line by line.
The Atlas Moth and Night Shift backs are fine-line screen prints in two inks, checked on a strike-off before the run.
Boxy body, dropped shoulder.
A 2.5 cm ribbed neck with a taped back neck, twin-needle hems and a shoulder seam that sits below the shoulder.
